Moving Logos 10 to a new computer
I am getting a new PC and will need to move Logos to a new PC. I'm ok with waiting on the download of libs. My concerns are my collections, notes, layouts, etc. Will all those sync or do I need to move them manually?

Your only manual concerns are personal books which may require recompilation IIRC (it's been a while)

Actually, if you can go into your resources folder, and either do a "Scan" of that whole folder from the command box inside Logos, or if you grab only the files with the .lbspbb extension from there, drop them in a folder, and then do a "Scan <folder name" of that folder, the PBs will all come in with recompiling them. The advantage of doing the second way is you cn put them into a simple folder like C:\Temp to make the command line entry of the folder name of the Scan command simpler!

Actually, you can move your previous installation to the new computer, including all your resources and documents, without downloading and indexing.

There are a number of ways that you can do the move manually but I am a 'fresh install' chap. Get your new computer set up and then start the logos download before going to bed. Wake to find it all hunky dory.

Just out of curiosity, method 1 on the linked wiki page says it can be used with an "offline" computer. Does this mean the activation of resources is also copied, or do you still need internet connection for that?

You have to be online (somehow) in order to authenticate your system during the initial sign-in. You may also have to be online after updating the software via an msi file.

Well, I actually ended up doing a fresh install after a support person told me that it would work. So you're saying my personal books didn't come over? I still have access to the drive that contains that install. Can I copy from there?

Correct, your metadata for the personal books was downloaded, but your personal books did not come over unless you had uploaded them all (which I personally do not advise as you can never remove them from the server and they are not encrypted). But you don't have to copy them either - if you have access to the folder with the compiled versions of your personal books (files with extensions ending in .lbspbb), whether it's a separate backup folder or your ORGINAL resources folder from the prior install of Logos, just do a
SCAN <folder name>
command, pointing to that folder - it will find them all and bring them over.

Well that's strange. . I found where logos puts my data files:
F:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Logos\Data
However, doing a search on *.lbspbb finds nothing. Could it be another file extension?

Containing the files:
PersonalBooksManager.dbPersonalBooksManager.db-shm
PersonalBooksManager.db-wal

No - they are not in the Data folder. The is one folder in there with a random number/letter name. Go into it. Thing into ResourceManager folder, from there go into Resources. They are there for sure. Windows and Mac are the same ONCE you find the data folder that you found.:

Funny thing is, the Android app lists those books that I added (through the app). It doesn't let me re-add them. In the Windows app, I don't get the "Add to Library" option either. I appreciate your help.0 -
There is also the folder:
F:\Users\[xp]\AppData\Local\Logos\Documents\1c5gm3ec.b5d\PersonalBooksnope.
F:\Users\[xp]\AppData\Local\Logos\Data\[8.3]\ResourceManager\Resources
is where all your resources are, including the PBs.
This folder is basically where all of the books reside - over 100GB for me

You misread Mick's reply:
Look at F:\Users\[xp]\AppData\Local\Logos\Data\1c5gm3ec.b5d\ResourceManager\Resources
Replace [xp] with the actual folder name.
You can copy the whole folder and scan it on the new computer as it will only take files that are missing e.g. your PB's.
