Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.

This tip is inspired by the forum post: [resolved] Can I limit the search with publication year - Logos Forums

One way to do it would be to create a collection of your resources based on publication date, and then search within that collection.

1. Create a Collection - check this page on the wiki if you re not sure how to do it, and see the examples using pubdate - this will filter your resources for inclusion in that collection based on publication date.

2. The, use that collection in your Search. Look on this page under "Limiting Search to part of your library" if you don't know how to do this.

A variant on Don's excellent answer is you can create the collection "on demand"

In the search windows "Resources" drop down entry the "pubdate" you want and you will get an option to select that filtered list - in this case resources published in 2013

this is then  used for a search as below

And Pubdate: can even take a range e.g. Pubdate:>1970

In Logos 10, you will want to use the "Books" search rather than "All" search. From there you can use a resource filter in the same way as Logos 9.
