BUG: Focus on clicking Library
Greetings,
Over the past several years, I've had a persistent bug on my desktop application (on two different machines) that has caused the focus to immediately go to the filter hamburger menu when clicking on the library from the home screen. I've reported it in the Logo 9 forum, as well as in the Logos 10 beta forum, but it's still present in the latest build (L28.2.43).
I'd like to revisit this bug to offer to do what I need to do to help replicate the issue and to bring it to a resolution. I know it may seem small, but it's a quality issue I'd love to see ironed out soon.
For reference, I am on Logos 28.2.43 running macOS Sonoma 14.0 on a 2019 16" Macbook Pro. The scaling on my OS is set to "Default", and both the content and application scaling settings on my Logos app are set to 100%. As a control, this problem was also present when I installed Logos on my mid-2013 13" Macbook Air running macOS Big Sur.

Hi Bobby,
I remember looking into this back then. Let me play around with it again and see if I have any luck reproducing it this time around.

Savanah, I’d be more than happy to do a zoom call or something to show you my setup to help reproduce the issue. Let me know if that would help at all.

Hi Bobby,
Thank you for the offer. I am still looking into this for now, I am curious if you have any sort of accessibility features turned on in your program settings on your computer?

Savanna,
I don't believe I have any unusual accessibility settings turned on, but here are screenshots of every accessibility panel from my settings app (via a dropbox link to a folder of screenshots).

L29 still contains the aforementioned bug on my machine. Offer is still open to even do zoom call or even remote control on my machine by a Logos tech.

In 10 days it will have been 3 years since I originally reported this issue and still we are not much closer to solving it than when I began reporting it. I know you all are having trouble replicating the issue, and I have cooperated on every point and am still willing to go out of my way to help you replicate the issue. As much as I love Logos, every time I click Library and the focus is off, it becomes a negative reflection upon your brand in my eyes because of how this issue could be present for three years and still not resolved. I know this is probably a low priority for you all, but I really would like to see this resolved in the near future.

Well, I suppose I should give the end of the story. I contacted support and got the matter escalated to Tech Customer Support.
Apparently there is a setting "Keyboard navigation" in macOS that was turned on (under Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard navigation). When I turned this option off, the library button operated as expected.
That being said, however, turning off the Keyboard Navigation option does reduce some of the controls I am able to tab to throughout the OS (buttons, for instance, are no longer "tabbable"), but I would imagine that now that we have finally replicated the issue, it should just be an matter of re-ordering the tab-index within the Logos app itself.

So now I am being told by tech support that in order to fix this bug, I am going to have to submit a Feedbear suggestion and get enough people to vote for it for them to spend their time on it. It was called "an interesting power-user request."

Well, that's interesting!
Bug-voting! Help FL staff figure out which bug to fix, by voting for your favorite bug. That's a toughie ... so many to choose from!
I was trying out your bug. Interestingly (Logos coding is always interesting), the tab moves focus to the input box. Normally the tab only moves to input boxes, on resource panels ... feature panels don't. But feature panels are even more bizaare using the tab. Text comparison sort of wakes up, every few tab-hits. What, what?

To be fair to FL and to follow up on this follow up, I made an appeal to tech support that this was kind of ridiculous, and they agreed and are looking into fixing this now.

This bug has still not been fixed in Logos 33.1.6.
