L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #329 Why some Factbook entries lack the expected Key Article
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: BUG: ill-formed Factbook page - Logos Forums
Sometimes the cause of an error is easy to understand ... and easy to fix if we let Logos know where the error occurs. At the moment that means creating a post in the forums with a title prefix of DATA BUG.
Note that the Factbook on the left lacks a Key Article ... the basic information on the place.
Some of this concepts didn't exist as LCV entities and that's why they were not linked with any Key Articles (since LCV concepts are what we use to align articles). This LCV concepts have been created and will help display key articles when they are aligned to a useful resource.
We'll keep an eye out for more concepts that face this same issue.
Or taking it back another level:
That's because resources don't have BK Place milestones, and the BK Place reference is not merged with an LCV topic (or something else that might show up as a milestone), and therefore the Key Article section is not even displayed.
Note BK is Bible Knowledgebase; LCV is Logos Controlled Vocabulary
