Linking notes to other notes in Verbum

In Verbum, we can easily link notes to a scripture verse or a location in a book - would it be possible to add the same facility to link one note to another note?

I know we can paste a URL link from one note into another note, and that is close to what I am requesting, except we end up with a long URL, rather than just an icon, which is basically what I'm after. For example, I sometimes put a note against a verse with an alternative translation. So if I already have a different note against that verse, I sometimes like to 'duplicate' that note link within my translation, if that makes sense.

Basically, it's the URL copy/paste functionality of notes, but replacing the long URL either with an icon, or a very short link text.

I appreciate you asking the question. Your question answered my question if linking was even possible. To answer your question, highlight some text, then click the hyperlink button near the top of the note (looks like a paperclip) paste the URL into the field that pops down. Similar to what I do in Mailchimp.

To avoid the long URLs in a note, I type some text e.g. <<seenote on topic A>>, select the text and I use CMD-K. This opens a box where i can paste the URL an d press enter. The text is then a hyperlink.

Doing this I can link notes in a readablemmanner

The other advice you have gotten is good. But in the specific instance you have mentioned, if I am understanding you correctly, the solution is just to attach the note to the verse instead of the surface text so it will show up across translations.

the replies have been very helpful - the alternative translations are usually from external sources to Verbum, so I put the alternative translation in a note, which then shows up in every bible version, Hebrew & Greek as well as English.
