1 Peter Commentaries and Bible study

My church is now doing a study on 1 Peter. What is everyone's favorite commentary on 1 Peter for exegetical analysis and devotional rigor. I borrowed a copy of Martin Hengel, Saint Peter: The Underestimated Apostle (Grand Rapids, Mich.: Eerdmans, 2010) from my uncle. He said he also had Kobes BECNT. I am not sure about it. Does anyone like it? I have the following for 1 Peter: NAC by Schreiner, WBC by Michaels, TNTC by Grudem, NIVAC by McKnight, Lexham Research Commentary: 1 Peter, 1 Peter (The Two Horizons New Testament Commentary) by Joel B. Green, 1 Peter by I. Howard Marshall. I want to get more but only have 54$ to spend. Edit. My grandma found a copy of 1 Peter by Craig Keener. Does anyone else like it?

In his NT Commentary Survey, DA Carson recommends Jobes, Davids, and Schreiner as the best buys. He recommends Achtemeir (in Hermeneia) with some reservations), but it is not great for devotional rigor. If you were picking one, I would use Schreiner (it is the one I have used the most), but Jobes and Marshall are always worth reading. I don't see any reason for you to buy another one for a church study, you look very well covered already. If you really just have money burning a hole in your pocket, Craddock would be the best compliment to what you have. If you want to jump to something more devotional, Clowney is good in the Bible Speaks Today.

Karen Jobes is one of the best out there! You wouldn’t go wrong if you only had her. POSB is great also!

Jobes in BECNT is the commentary I've used the most in studying 1 Peter.

Thanks Justin, DAL and Mark. I will take your thoughts Justin because I do not want to spend anything unless I have to or need to. God is good. Thanks everyone for all y'all do. Blessings.
