I can't download Word Lists - either Public ones or from Groups (29.0 beta 4 on Windows 11)

I doubt if this is a beta issue but flagging it here as I'm running the beta version of the software - 29.0 beta 4 on Windows 11.

As per the screenshot I was trying to download an LHB related document from the group Introductory Grammar Vocabulary Lists

While there is no indication of a problem in the UI, the document does not appear as a local copy for me.

The logfile is attached - and contains the lines:

This happens if I am trying to download a Word List from this - or other groups - or from the Public area.

I can successfully download Passage Lists from a Group so it's not a document-wide issue.

I haven't checked all document types to see if there are a set that download successfully and a set that don't.

Can anyone successfully download a Word List?

Yes. I can successfully download Word Lists from the Logos 29.0 Beta 4 document menu (Group, add to... as you show) as well as from the Faithlife Group's Bible Study / Logos Documents, connect-button functionality.

EDIT: while trying to check for successful log entries I tried again with another Word List from within Logos and managed to get the error instead of the Word List...

It seems that something still isn't quite right - but I don't know if this is related or has been the case for a long time.

If I download a Word List from a Group it appears successfully as a local copy.

If I then delete it and download it again - it appears again as a local copy but with a (2) after it.

If I repeat, it has (3) and so on.

It as as though the "does a doc of this name already exist" check is ignoring whether or not the document has been deleted?

Does that make any sense?

That does make sense. I've looked at the logic and it does ignore the deletion status when de-duplicating titles. However, it does appear that it has worked that way for a long time.

It's quite possible we chose to do that because it could make undeletion easier if those deleted copies retained unique titles from non-deleted ones. I could raise this internally if you feel that the existing behavior is undesirable.

I think the behaviour is strange - I would have expected that if I didn’t have any current documents that matched the name of the one I was downloading that the name should match completely.

This would match what happens if I simply create a local document, delete it and then recreate one of the same name. ”Version numbers” are not applied in that case.

I would appreciate it if you would raise it internally and I’d be very interested in seeing what the team thinks
