Sermon Builder Slide Issues
I really want to use Sermon Builder but I continue to have issues with various elements.
Currently, I am unable to upload an image to use for the slide. When I click on the "Upload Media" button, nothing happens. This has worked in the past but is very glitchy such as not keeping an image or not allowing me to set the image as a default for all my slides in that particular sermon.
I watched yesterday's MP seminar on sermon builder and would like to use this resource as it would be a huge time saver.
I am using a MacBook Pro M1
runnung Ventura 13.1

Hi, rkponder. I'm sorry to hear your having issues using Sermon builder!
Sermon builder doesn't actually have a button that says "Upload Media" anywhere, so I'm not exactly sure what workflow you're following. The easiest way to upload media in Sermon builder (on desktop) is probably just dragging and dropping an image into the sermon. Alternatively, you can copy an image to your clipboard and paste it into the sermon, and it should come in as a slide attached to the block/paragraph you pasted in.
Let me know if neither of those approaches help you achieve what you're going for, or if you want to troubleshoot that upload media approach further.

Here is a screenshot. This is accessed from right-clicking on a slide and choosing edit.

You need to use the paperclip icon or the orange icon next to it, not just paste the image into the text.

Hm; I can't see your screenshot, but yes, it sounds like you're using the Media Tool to update the background of a slide. (This is a different tool to Sermon builder, but they do have complementary functionality.)
We have had reports (and occasional internal repros) of native file picker dialogs on M1 Macs not consistently opening, and we've made several rounds of improvements, but it sounds like you're still running into it. It looks like, from our case history that I can find, our last code change to improve this went out in version 23.0 beta 1. I'll reactivate that case, and I'm really sorry it's impacting you.
Unfortunately, I don't have a totally reliable workaround for the file dialog not working. I think people who've run into it in testing have had success with either restarting the application and/or restarting the machine. Sadly, I don't have an M1 Mac so I don't have any firsthand experience with this problem.
