BUG (revisited): the position of the Visual Cue from a Search result is not consistent

The position of the Visual Cue in the book varies with the Bible Search query (ESV):

louwNida:93.169 INTERSECTS person:Jesus --> at the start of the verse
louwNida:93.169 NOT INTERSECTS person:Jesus --> over the result (as expected)

This also affects the positioning of the text in the Interlinear pane.

There were two problems.

First, the louwNida:93.169 NOT INTERSECTS person:Jesus results should include the verse in the search hit links, which is what enables the hover preview to show the whole verse instead of the text starting with the search hit.

Second, clicking on the search hit links with the verse (like the results for louwNida:93.169 INTERSECTS person:Jesus) should navigate the Bible to the search hit position, but the position was being omitted in transit.

Both problems will be fixed in v30 Beta 1. Thanks again for taking the time to report this.

I'm confused, the search hit link (on the name) navigates the Bible to the search hit position as expected. Why show the whole verse??

Why show the whole verse??

For Bible and Morph search, previewing the whole verse instead of the just the text starting with the search hit is an arbitrary design decision. I don't recall how it previewed in Libronix, but it has been intended to preview the whole verse since Logos 4.

What are you mean by "clicking on the search hit links with the verse".

Just clicking on any of the Jesus search hit links for your louwNida:93.169 INTERSECTS person:Jesus search.

I think I understand. The preview in Results seems satisfactory. I'm only concerned about the position of the Visual Cue in the resource, which also affects the location of the verse in the Interlinear pane i.e. whether centered on the start of the verse or the result word.

Below, the pane is centered on the result "Joshua". For the other query, it is centered on the verse number (8).
