"Close active layout" no longer functions

The "Close active layout" function no longer works in version 29.0.14. To recreate the problem, click the "Layouts" icon, then click the blue text at the bottom left of the dialogue box. Nothing happens except the blue text is subdued upon reopening the Layouts dialogue.

I tried this and noticed something slightly different.

When we have an active layout open, the name of that layout is shown next to the Logos Bible Study name of the program window.

The Close active layout button removes that name while leaving all the panels in place, so it is no longer linked to the layout

I don't know if this is a change in behaviour - but I agree it does seem rather strange.

Yes. You are correct. I didn't notice the layout name in the program bar.

This is the intended behavior for that button. If you are wanting to close all your panels, use the "Close all panels" button that is right next to the Layouts button in the application toolbar.

I would say that this function works as expected. There is a difference between "close active layout" and "closing all panels".

When closing the active layout, the layout as such is closed and no longer active as a layout (which you can see in the top left corner of main window where the name of the layout is no longer displayed). The panels remain in their current state.

When you want to close the active layout AND go to a blank workspace, you use the "Close all panels" icon situated next to the layouts icon.

It has always functioned that way. Close All Panels (App toolbar) does what the name suggests.
