Notes formatting and compatibility with Microsoft Word

Hello,

I'm wondering about formatting compatibility between Logos and Microsoft Word. I'm wanting to be able to copy/paste my notes between the programs, but the formatting gets all messed up.

Also, wondering about formatting improvements for the notes application in general. I often use bullets to outline, but it would be nice if the bullets changed at each indentation level like is done in Word.

Thanks.

You might explain "all messed up", your version of Word/Office and your operating system.

In Windows, one can choose the compatibility when pasting to Word 365  e.g.there is a pop-up for keep source formatting, merge or keep text only.  My setting of Merge (in Options > Advanced > Cut, Copy and Paste) is applied in the first place.

You might check the suggestions for Notes at Faithlife Feedback - Desktop (sign in with your FL account) e.g. type notes bullets in the Title and see what is displayed (also try notes indentation). You might add your support for one of them.

This is an example of my text in Word

Vs this is what it looks like when I copy and paste that same text into a note in Logos:

See https://wiki.logos.com/Screenshot  as you cannot paste an image into the forum.

And you did not supply the information I requested.

I went back and added a picture through “Amber“ which said it was going to moderators for approval.
The picture would explain what I mean by “all messed up” much better than I can describe.

What is your version of Word/Office and your operating system?

    WORD vs LOGOS Notes

    In Word:

    • This will be Hebrewlist
      • Heb 1
      • Heb 2
      • Heb 3
    • This will be Greek
      • χαρά
      • εὐφροσύνη
      • ἀγαλλίαμα
    • This is imagery

When created in Notes (with solid bullets) I can paste this into Word (with hollow bullets) and vice-versa.

When created in Word, I reproduce your problem.

You need to create solid bullets for level 2 and beyond and then the list will paste correctly into Notes.

Tried that. Same result. The indentations get lost when going from Word to Logos, regardless of the color bullet.

It seems Logos loses indents altogether and instead inserts an image of a bullet, then 8 spaces (of a smaller font), then the text.
