Highlighting Issues to create a personal note

Hi:

I'm trying to create a personal note on a few words in a particular verse in Matthew. Once I highlight a couple of words, it immediately highlights the entire verse. This just happened. I closed Logos, opened it again thinking it was a glitch, but the issue persists.

Am I missing something?

In the context menu (right-click) do you have reference (whole verse) or selection chosen? Or if you aren't using the context menu, the difference is still by reference vs. by selection.

If I take that literally, it looks like a Mac issue. Irrespective of your Setting for Text Selection it should not behave like that.

It can happen if you right click and the Context menu is set to Reference:-

Then you have to choose Selection (for the two words I selected).
What version of Mac?

It looks like the issue was fixed or somehow it was reset. I have no idea how it happened and how it got fixed. Thank you for trying to help.

Mac M1 2020 Sonoma 14.0
