What resources do you recommend for studying the period between the testaments. There are a couple of resources on sale now. Between the Testaments | Logos Bible Software and Time Between the Testaments: Connecting Malachi to Matthew | Logos Bible Software. I don't have either of these. I am also considering Bridging the Testaments: The History and Theology of God’s People in the Second Temple Period | Logos Bible Software though it may be a bit more indepth than what I need. What are your suggestions?
Others may have more direct responses, but it's worth giving the current FBOM some attention because it highlights the importance of the Dead Sea Scrolls for understanding Judaism in this period. It's not a direct connection to your question, but understanding the DSS and their recent interpretations is valuable for understanding this period.
Michael,
You will want to pick up George Athas's work (Bridging the Testaments: The History and Theology of God’s People in the Second Temple Period). George has been working years on this and it promises to be a definitive study on the "intertestamental period."

Agree with Athas. I few others below. I would also note a lot of surveys and study bibles usually have a chunk of information about this time, for example the ESV Study Bible.
