I check my pre-pub orders almost daily to help me keep on top of my planned expenditure.

This book changes almost daily on a cycle of "in production" to "ships January". Today it's just in production and yesterday it was shipping in January. Any reason why that might happen? I've never seen a status change so often.

According to Amazon the book releases on January 18.

Hi Paul, with ebook's the status is automated and we are dependent on the information the publishers sends us through the automated feeds.  With Logos editions, we manually set the shipping date and when an adjustment needs to be made usually have better information into the changes.

Thanks Mitch. It's just odd how the information on the publication date keeps changing, despite Amazon being consistent about a release in January.
