Maybe I was asleep at the wheel ... I never tried this out. I knew Multiple Book Display (MBD) was added to searches, to allow a comparison view of various Bibles. I just didn't realize it was a quick way to link a Bible search to any Bible-indexed resource grouping (eg apparatus volumes or some commentaries).
Let's say, you're looking at Enoch's 'son of man', where an author is comparing to Matthew. And you want to get a quick look at how the church treated the Matthew passages (just as an example).
Quick Steps:
1. You do a Bible search to find the Matthew passages (also works for Morph searches). Good.
2. Then you make sure you're in 'Passages' search view.
3. Then you click on the Multiple Book Display (yep!). And you choose the grouping of resources you want to match to the respective Matthew verse (in my case, a Church Fathers tagging, plus some commentaries).
And you get the screen-capture below. It's quite varied ... some manuscripts, sermons, commentary discussion, and even an apparatus. Just about any grouping of resources that use a 'Bible' index.
Now, in theory, you could do a search, save to a Passage List, and go from there. But this is a quick 'cut to the chase'. And I was back in my 'Son of Man' reading within minutes.
