Factbook: NDBT missing

Hi there,

I'm new to Logos and still figuring things out, so bear with me--

I have Logos 10 Einsteiger (the German Starter base package) and I recently purchased the New Dictionary of Biblical Theology (NDBT). Now, for example, when I search for the following topics which all have an entry in the NDBT (in part three of that voluminous work):

- God

- Kingdom of God

- Remnant

- Church

... I get no results in Factbook under "Dictionaries". Also, I get no results in the "Factbook tag" section. On the other hand, both the NBD and LBD (my main, prioritized dictionaries) are listed.

The only time the Factbook showed any entry from the NDBT was when I searched for "People of God" (in this case, the Key Article).

The NDBT is in my list of prioritized books. Is there anything I am missing? A feature maybe? I also tried  re-indexing my entre database, but to no avail.

Thanks!

The former should guarantee a place in Factbook, whilst re-indexing the book (reindex NDBT) is all that was needed.

On the Information page of the resource, right-click the Indexes heading, select Copy and paste the result in your reply.

    e.g.

    Bibliographic Item
    Page
    Hebrew headwords
    English headwords
    Greek headwords

Even though it may be indexed by headwords, the book would have to be included in Logos' Controlled Vocabulary (LCV) dataset.

Hi Dave, thanks for your reply!

Here's the information (copied from the "indexes" section):

    Bibliographic Item
    Page
    English headwords

If needed, I can also copy the info provided under "About Logos" > "Tech support Information" which appears to list all installed databases. FWIW, I'm on a Mac.

This appears to be a problem with the way that dictionary has structured its articles. Factbook chooses to filter our very short articles in order to eliminate "forwarding articles" that have no real content. The heading of the article is treated as its own separate article, and as a result, that entry gets filtered out.

I've created a case to improve the filtering behavior to prevent this problem.

For now, the best alternative I can provide is that the dictionary does show up in the list in the Topic section of the Topic Guide. The Dig Deeper section in Factbook will provide a link to the Topic Guide for easier access.
