I have been invited to do a presentation and paper at a local theological group conference. My topic is Intertexuality, Gospel harmony, and the Synoptic Traditions. I have narrowed it down to John's use of Luke. I am trying to answer a question using research methods and sources within Logos: What is the Gospel of John's relationship to previous theological and literary documents in the Luke Acts Corpus? I found an article by Peder Borgen "John and the Synoptics in the Passion Narrative," and a book called, The Traditions Common to the Gospels of Luke and John by John Amedee Bailey but it is older than what I wanted. I want to see how I can find information using Logos. I dabbled in the following commentaries on John: Morris, Borchert, F.F. Bruce, James Boice and Carson. I have not gotten into the commentary of the NT use of the OT or Craig Keener's John commentary yet. Would those be of help to this kind of research project?
