I don't know why, but my buy-it syndrome is reducing, opposite book inflation. Or maybe in reaction to book inflation. Stubbornness. Even on the Big A, I'm just re-reading my books (bought years back). I'll be interested to see if my new syndrome extends into L11. Or if big Logos sales are history.

I too understand that, although I now keep a wishlist of books that I'd like - but not at full price and then wait until my birthday before buying. I'd much rather the old $20 of any value order, but at least I feel like I'm getting a deal on some books that never go on sale. At least the birthday coupon is more generous than this Christmas' $25 off a $200 order.

It’s a good question. I’ve always gotten the biggest set I could. This time, I‘m thinking smaller. Maybe that’s why I’m ambivalent about the coupon change.
