Does anyone own The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia and would be willing to send the text for this 2 page article? L. Morris, “John, Gospel according to,” ISBE 2.1104–1105. Thanks so much.
Not sure we should be doing this, Christian. How did you get the detailed citation, albeit without specifying the title of the article (someone unwilling to share?).
I think Christian (or his source) got the citation wrong.
The article citation should be Morris, L. “John, Gospel According to.” In The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, Revised, edited by Geoffrey W Bromiley. Wm. B. Eerdmans, 1979–1988.
What Christian is interested in (and what his detailed citation refers to) is chapter VI. Relation to the Synoptics where Leon Morris discusses - and denies, dismantling C.K. Barretts argument in favor of it - literary dependency on mainly Mark, less so Luke and Matthew.
Thanks. I guess I did get my citation wrong. It was in a book discussing Morris versus Barrett. Is that Chapter VI in a book? Blessings to all
