I chatted with a salesperson today. He calls my version a Bronze, but I miss very little following the video training.

So for $314 CDN I was going to "UPGRADE". I LOVE my LOGOS. I hate their MARKETING plan. At 76 and a lifetime of sales, I think their Business Plan is off-color for a "Christian Business". Sorry.

It seems to be structured to keep one just a "dunking apple" away from the Pie. That smells a bit, quite a bit from being transparent. We become addicted to spending money and are teased into pushing to GO button.

I told the young fella to push the ORDER button. (314$ worth) and then I asked what am I getting for "Full Featured", $314 worth? He didn't have a very good answer for $300+$. So I backed out.

To be honest, it is close to "the love of money". You know where that will end someday.

My lowly self would be willing to buy more books when I am desperately committed to learning ALL I can about GOD and His Word in my daily life and Christian "work of the ministry".

Sorry I'm ticked off, when I finally said YES to upgrade, then had to say Woah. I have been using Logos almost from the beginning and been the sparkplug of probably over 30 programs. Rick

I’m sorry but I’m not following the point you are making.

Are you saying you were considering from upgrading from Bronze to the full feature upgrade and you weren’t sure what additional features this would provide?

Every level of Logos has it's OWN LEVEL or definition of "FULL FEATURED". Those definitions need to be clearly defined in the add.

I'm still confused. I know there are some feature differences between Verbum and Logos that are not clearly indicated, but I can't recall any differences of "full featured" within Logos. Can you give a concrete example of a feature that is sometimes in "full featured" and sometimes not. I can think of some cases where this could happen given the expansion of base packages.

What features are missing from it?

This is the comparison table showing which features are in each of the levels of feature sets: Starter, Bronze, Silver, and Full.

If you had Bronze before, and the guy on the line talked you into upgrading to Full, you ought to be able to see from that table which new features you ought to have gotten.

1) If you didn't get them all and are still missing some, please tell us which. I don't know of any features that are not included in the Full Feature Upgrade. So what do you mean by "THIS IS NOT FULL FEATURE UPGRADE"?

2) Or if you realized you had most of the features you'd ever use anyway and don't need this upgrade after all, you can call Logos back and they will refund your money under their 30-day money-back guarantee.

Rick, in your frustration, you are not communicating well. Lotsa folks want to help but we can't understand your actual complaint.

This statement is what is actually false. The FFU does indeed include all the features offered by Logos. So what exactly is your complaint (so we can help you sort through the issues)? From the description of the FFU- "The Logos 10 Full Feature Upgrade includes every dataset and tool for biblical and theological research and study we have available."

I don't disagree that marketing at Logos has sometimes written checks the programmers can't cash. But I don't think the ad you pointed out is a problematic one, unless I'm (like the others) not understanding what you are trying to say.

I must apologize for my harsh words. And thank Graham for the link. I don't spend any time reading their web site. I just want to use Logos. I had never seen that COMPARE process. I have for so long wished my Logos would do what the Video training would do. When I read the email (emails prolific) and say the FULL UPGRADE I assumed that's what I was going to get. When I asked the tech guy what benefits I was going to get for $300+ he should have pointed out the COMPARE web page, but he answered me very poorly. So needles to say I was very disappointed! When I followed Graham link and examined the pieces I was missing and would be updated, I still think there is not 300$ worth of improvements to make it worth it for me. I'm not in full time ministry so Logos is more of a study passion than a work tool. All I wanted is tools, not books. So thanks Graham, and I apologize to the rest. I often feel inundated and mistreated by the adds. Rick
