Missing footnotes in All the Genealogies of the Bible
I just got All the Genealogies in the Bible. Several of the genealogy charts have footnote numbers for specific people in the chart, but I cannot read those footnotes anywhere. It appears on my end as if the charts were imported as graphics, but the footnotes were not included.
I’m sure I don’t have some setting properly switched on. Can anyone please show me what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks.

Good catch. Yes, that's a problem. I can confirm it.
No, you're not doing anything wrong, there's no setting to switch these on, and your analysis is correct. The charts are images, so the footnote numbers are not functional.
This is disappointing, for a Logos Research Edition. Even the Kindle edition includes the footnotes. Here's an example from the Kindle preview:
Here is how Logos renders that chart in paged view:
Note that the first footnote appears in text, so Logos handles that. But the second one appears in an image, and it doesn't handle that.

A big part of the value of this book is the notes. Logos must get this fixed.
Just print the Notes section before or after the "Biblical and Theological Significance" like every other edition of the book.

Bummer. Any Logos staff folks on here who can tell me if this is the permanent condition of this Logos edition, or will it get fixed?
This might be the first they've heard of it as a bug report, so they probably don't know right away whether they will be able to fix it. It sounds like it could be a lot of work to fix. Turning the images into textual representations so they can have clickable links would be the hardest, though the most satisfactory to users. An easier fix would be to simply reproduce the footnote text below the images without having the footnotes be linked to their numbers via a click. They would be inconsistent with the other footnotes in the book (the ones on text, which are clickable) and wouldn't be as satisfactory to users.
So at a minimum: someone higher up at Logos needs to review the bug report, decide if it is something they ideally want to fix (I would say that yes ideally they would want to), decide which of the fixes is most plausible for them to attempt if any, schedule it, and then get around to doing it. They probably won't have a decision on this or be able to answer your question for a while.

Aside from the missing chart for Numbers 13, all the notes are showing on my Olive Tree copy 👍😁👌

They had a similar problem with the Life Connections Study Bible a few years ago. When the issue is missing content, Logos can patch it within a few weeks.

Any updates on when this will be fixed? I would like to buy the resource but am holding off based on the early feedback. Thanks.

Well, I got an update of this book in today's automatic download. So far I have seen one chart where footnotes have been added (not hyperlinked, but added as extra text), but not any others. This is still not correct. If any admins see this, please pass this info along to the appropriate team at Logos.

This is still a great disappointment. The footnotes are missing even after the update today.
I have this in A-nother software and the footnotes are essential.

Where did you see the extra text added? I'd like to see it for myself. Maybe Logos wants feedback about this style of a "fix".

It was added to the chart "Genesis 11: Terah and Nahor" on pp. 9-10 (new notes are the last things on p. 10, after the main text) -- unless they were there before and I missed it.

I don't remember seeing it before, but it would certainly "get by" if they did that for every chart.
I would like to see them place ALL the footnotes directly after the chart, before the Biblical and Theological Significance section. Otherwise it blends in and requires too much scrolling.

I agree. I received an update but still the footnotes are missing. Logos needs to improve their quality check / proofreading before releasing new books.

It looks like the resource is built correctly, but there is a bug in the application that is preventing these from working correctly. We created a case to fix this problem.

Four months after the missing content was 'reported to the book team', the new status is "We created a case to fix this problem." Created a case ... I'm that thrilled 🤦🏽♀️
At this rate, when will the problem really be fixed? But no pressure; maybe I can dig around in my pocket for another $30+ to buy the book elsewhere so I can get the full content.

Update downloaded for me today. Immediately after each chart image is a line: "Image Notes:" with footnote links for the footnotes within the chart.
I can certainly work with that, and the most important thing was to have all the information available.
Thanks to the team for getting it fixed.

When I set the resource to "Show Footnotes on Page", the image notes do not appear at the bottom of the page. The image notes do show up in the Power Lookup Panel.
