Amazon Fire 7 or 8 for logos mobile?

Which is better for reading ebooks in logos mobile apps... Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 or Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8? Also, what is roughly their battery life while reading bibles etc on logos 10 mobile apps? Thanks.
Was considering whether to upgrade from HD7 which I bought a few years ago or not.

    Unless something has been released that I don't know of, I don't believe the 7" Fire tablet is "HD." I've had both, and the 8" HD screen is significantly better than 7" screen and much easier on the eyes.

    I can't really speak to battery life because mine goes right back on the charger after use, but I've never had it run out of battery in a reading session. Someone else may be able to answer the battery question better than me.
