Another "data set" or "feature" own/rent question

Datasets of prior versions- I've subscribed to "Logos Now" since inception (currently grandfathered yearly rate for Faithlife Connect.)

I see the current Full Feature for Logos 10 properly announcing in the shop that I have temporary aceess to it.

What about features for books in prior versions of Logos that I didnt buy feature upgrades along with library expansions as I upgraded versions? (I had Logos originally on 3.5" floppy, and many libraries added in the early years via CD-ROM.)

Or do I have it wrong- ie as I paid to upgrade versions, that program upgrade included the dataset of whatever version library I was choosing (silver, gold, platinum, etc)?

I just want to know, if I have a huge library of old books that are essentially "reader editions?"

Or do I have it all wrong on how it all works?

Faithlife Connect gives you temporary access to all datasets and features. (This includes previously issued ones.)

Your resources will always have the 'features' they had when they were purchased. Nothing's been lost. Like you, I have many resources purchased years ago and nothing has been lost in functionality along the way.

Yes, and no.

If you didn't buy feature upgrades, then absent you Now subscription, you'd need to buy them, to be able to use them (features listed in the various packages).

For pre-Logos4 features, Logos typically tried to give you ownership to a feature, if you had bought it in the earlier version. But that was only true, if they carried the feature forward.

What's nice, is if you bought the book (earlier), Logos updates it into its latest tagging, etc. (if there is any). It's only a 'reader' if it's now a reader.

In sum, if you gave up Now, you'd be looking at a pretty-penny ($$) of feature upgrades (assuming you want them). But your books are live and well.

No! All your resources (books) that are not 'Reader Editions', no matter when purchased, have access to the latest tagging etc which has been applied to them, and will be updated as and when revised by Logos.

Any 'features' and 'datasets' that you purchased along the way are yours until either depricated or superseded.

Your 'Logos Now' subscription gives temporary access to a range of other facilities which you may use as long as you maintain that (rather good value) grandfathered subscription.
