Conference on Biblical Inerrancy

I recently read the Chicago Conference on Biblical Inerrancy. I wanted to know if there was an analysis of this conference for the 21st century. Does anyone have book recommendations?

One of these two has a chapter on it if I recall correctly.

The International Council on Biblical Inerrancy called a conference in October 1978 in Chicago, which was attended by 268 evangelical scholars of all positions, to mediate the differences. Peace was reached in the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, and the fourteen position papers were published as Inerrancy, edited by Norman Geisler.

I do not see this in LOGOS but I do see a kindle version on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Inerrancy-Norman-L-Geisler/dp/0310392810

This is Norman Geisler's 1980 book (everyone references it, it is often also used to cite the Chicago Statement which is contained in an appendix there but widely available elsewhere). Geisler thought himself as the leading figure in organizing the conference and promulgating the statement. This book is overdue in Logos (vote here: https://feedback.logos.com/boards/logos-book-requests/posts/inerrancy ) - however, it can cover the discussion on inerrancy only through the end of the 1970s. The two books mentioned above may be more focused on Alexanders question in the OP - after all, Geisler saw himself as the only "real interpreter" of the Chicago Statement and actively tried to use his understanding of the Chicago Statement as a kind of 'Shibboleth' for real trustworthy evangelical doctrine.
On the other hand, even back then in Chicago there were quite different participants, and the discussion about inerrancy probably has evolved over the last 50 years - I personally would not grant Geisler the last and definitive word on that. To get a first look at a debated issue, it's often helpful to look into the " 3/4/5 Perspectives/Views on..." books, e.g. https://www.logos.com/product/54034/five-views-on-biblical-inerrancy

This seems to be a good source. However, within the Logos universe I'd recommend using this Reading List https://ref.ly/logos4/ReadingLists?list=International+Council+on+Biblical+Inerrancy+documents!HJvdWal!https%3a%2f%2ftopics.logos.com%2fInternational_Council_on_Biblical_Inerrancy_documents!0
