Books on medical ethics from a Christian perspective

These books came up in the reading I'm doing for a class on medical ethics that I'm auditing this week at Regent College.
VOTE HERE:
Health, Medicine, and the Faith Traditions (edited by Martin Marty & Kenneth Vaux)
The Physician's Covenant: Images of the Healer in Medical Ethics (Second Edition) (by William F. May)
(I might add to this post as I encounter more books in my reading.)

I've added to the feedback boards the book that's required by the course I'm taking next semester: Medical Ethics: Sources of Catholic Teachings (by Kevin O'Rourke, O.P., and Philip J. Boyle). Probably not relevant to your college but a required textbook in my seminary which is, per usual, not available in Logos. Thought I'd mention it here to give your post a bump.

Here are two more that came up in today's class, both by Charles Camosy, associate professor of theological and social ethics at Fordham University:
Beyond the Abortion Wars (Eerdmans)
Losing Our Dignity: How Secularized Medicine is Undermining Fundamental Human Equality (New City Press)

Here are two more that I came across in my reading today:
Reclaiming the Body: Christians and the Faithful Use of Modern Medicine (I happen to know one of the authors: Brian Volck MD)
Consistent Ethic of Life: Joseph Cardinal Bernardin

That's great, Mike. I already have some of those, including the Meilaender one which is the textbook for this class I'm taking. This is a thread about suggesting/recommending others that I come across that Logos doesn't (yet) carry.

May I add another book to your list?
Catholic Bioethics and the Gift of Human Life, 3rd edition, by William E. May. Worth looking at for anyone in the field of hospital ethical work and pretty necessary for the Verbum research library.

I would also add that the USCCB's ERDs are a must-have resource to provide a fundamental basis to healthcare and ethical research. I saw somewhere that Logos is looking to expand into other organizational models (not just the individual customer model and the academic institutional model, but local church models, etc.). Not having the ERDs in this software, to hospital ethics committees, chaplains, board of directors/trustees (boards of mission fulfillment), and chancery offices, is the equivalent of Verbum not having the Catechism or Logos Baptist not having the Bible. All of those organizational groups previously mentioned will reference and interpret the ERDs as a primary text. It has been in its sixth edition since 2018 and is a necessary resource for many Catholic dioceses and chaplains, not to mention all academics/professors who do research in moral theology/ethics. Just a friendly reminder that Catholic healthcare is the largest nonprofit provider of healthcare in the United States with over 600 hospitals and over 1500 long-term healthcare institutions.
Here's the text, it's only about 30 pages long, so it would be good to get it in both English and Spanish.

(not to mention that this document will be cited in any and all Catholic moral theology/medical ethics books published after 2018, so if you want those cross-links to work, the text is needed.)
