Motif of Light

How can I use Logos to find the motif of light (both said and unsaid) in the New Testament text of the Gospels, and more directly the Gospel of John? I am looking to answer these questions: What does John say about light? This can be done through analysis of words. Does to see the Lord mean a new beginning in light? How does John use light to frame his discourses? What does the light symbolize in the Gospel of John? I know how to do the said parts through a word study on light in John.

John's author makes use of definite symbols that are central to the biblical text. He also uses symbols that frequently recur in more important texts

I think you are again bridging on dangerous ground.... trying to start theological debates with all your questions... the first question was enough.

I really question what you are trying to do with your persistence in doing all this.... What are you trying to teach and why are you trying to teach it on these forums.

At the least.... you are being impolite by your persistence in these types of teachings and or theological bating for debates. I think you should stop this.

I think if you persist in these tactics.... people should stop answering your questions at all.

I don't mean to be mean about it... but you have continued to do this.... even while others, like myself, have gotten in trouble and learned from it.

When I read the posts, I hear loneliness - perhaps, exacerbated by being out of school - reaching out for some human contact on subjects he has recently read, I agree that he is given more leeway than some in asking for additional resources, but in general I don't hear him promoting a particular position or derogating someone else's position which is generally what people get called out for - including Christian. I have found that questions I refuse to answer are generally answered by others so there appears to be sufficient forumites willing to answer his questions. I suspect many forumites simply skip his posts - a very appropriate response.

The debate is done. If loneliness is allowed for one to by pass rules, then a lot of people will become lonely. I'm done.

That is not what I said in my response - I said that is what I heard and the context in which I read his requests for resources. I still call him out on posts that appear to be solely theological but exercise compassion on border-line cases.
