I am not able to export to an Excel File. When I hit PRINT/EXPORT a tab opens that says "this panel supports export only." Excel will open but the data does not appear.

You didn't specify what you are attempting to export, but your results seem to be from exporting your Library. If so, be aware that a Library export using the choice where it opens a blank Excel file and populates it takes much longer than what many users expect. I have a computer that I think is in the above-average category (Mac M1 16GB) and 12,000+ library items. It takes my machine 6+ minutes to do that particular operation. You can keep Excel open and watch the batches of rows come in over time.
I usually use the export to file option, which happens much faster. I use the .csv option, as I don't know much about .xml.
