Fire Bible?
I see that Logos has the Fire Bible, but they don’t state whether it’s the KJV, ESV, etc. Does anyone here know what Bible version it is? It’s available in a few different translations/versions in print form.

The Study Edition is not a bible. All the scripture quotations come from NIV84.

The Logos offering is for the Fire Bible notes, which can be used with any translation. If there are any differences in any of the notes in the printed version, they would be minimal. For the Logos Fire Bible, you’ll have to purchase your preferred translation separately from the notes (or use one of the ones offered free on Logos).

That’s interesting. I never knew of the Fire Bible being available in the NIV (though I’ve never really sought it out). I knew they had the MEV, ESV, and KJV… It was my understanding that the Fire Bible was a revision of the Life In The Spirit Study Bible, because I’ve viewed both in a local brick and mortar and the notes were very similar, as well as the features. Have you happened to have ever seen/owned an NIV84 Fire Bible?

After a quick Google search, it does appear that Fire Bible is available in NIV… I don’t suppose you happen to know if the current print of the Fire Bible contains the NIV84 do you? That’d be cool because that’s both a translation and study Bible that I would like to own in print and if I can kill two birds with one stone, all the better.

According to Amazon, it was published in 2010, so it couldn't possibly contain the NIV from 2011, so yes it's most likely the 1984 NIV.

A user commented on the chocolate/pink flexisoft leather edition, "I also love that this one uses the older (1984) version of the NIV text." So that's pretty good confirmation. (The leather editions are no longer available new and the used prices are outrageous.)

That's kind of crazy that Logos is charging more for just the Fire Bible notes than Fire Bible does for the whole bible with notes in print form.

Are they though...? The cheapest print BibleI see on firebible.org is $55... The cheapest one on Amazon (apart from used books) is a KJV edition for $46, which is arguably less than the Logos edition, but that price is set by Amazon, and not by the publisher.
If $49 is too much, just wait for a sale, or hope for inclusion in the Logos 11 P&C Bronze or Silver BP. I personally don't want to spend $49 on the notes either, but having previously seen the quality of those notes, I also don't think it's too expensive.
