The Faithlife TV app on the Apple TV 4K device is now crashing every time I attempt a search. Upon the first character or two entered in the search string, the app simply shuts down.
The problem I reported over a week ago persists. I have confirmed the search crash bug on two Apple TV 4K devices, both of which were running TV OS 17.2. I then updated to TV OS 17.3 and that did not help. Is anybody at Faithlife attempting to reproduce and correct this problem? The ability to search is pretty basic and essential functionality, and we would be grateful to have it working again.
I also confirmed this bug on an Apple TV HD (non 4K) device. Help!
This problem in broken essential functionality persists. Faithlife Team, can you comment?
Brad,
A new version of the app should be available on the AppStore (1.2.0) that resolves the crash using the Search field.
The minimum supported version is moved up to tvOS 12.0 which should not affect any users. Any device that can run tvOS 9 can run tvOS 12 and can also run the latest tvOS 17.
Let us know if that does not resolve the issue you were seeing.

Problem solved, Jeff! Thank you so much for the resolution. It is great to have the search functionality available once again.
