Locator bar only opens table of contents

I am having difficulty getting the locator bar to work correctly. Instead of letting me edit the text in the locator bar, the Android app always takes me to the table of contents. This is the case no matter where I tap inside the locator bar, and it does it on locator bars in different books and open tabs. For a Bible, the issue has a work-around, since the table of contents is easily navigable down to the verse level. But for something like a dictionary, it makes the book nearly impossible to use, since the user can't type in the look-up term. I only noticed this happening this week. Has there been a new software release?

    Ben,

There has recently been a change to book navigation.

With the new version, the locator bar takes you to the table of contents, as you have described.

If you want to manually type a reference or heading instead, you tap the search button (looks like a magnifying glass) next to the locator bar, and enter in the text of your choice.
