John Currid's two-vol commentary on Genesis does NOT show up when I, do the following:

"Genesis" is not the correct Subject for those books. One book has a subject of Bible O.T., Genesis 1:1-25:18 and the other has a subject of Bible O.T., Genesis 25:19-50:26.
The subject facet needs to be an exact match.
The subject for Currid is "Bible.O.T.Genesis 1:1-25:18" Any commentaries that have chapter and verse after "Genesis" seem to not be included in the search. If the subject was simply "Bible O.T." and you searched for "author:Currid" the books will show up. I hope this helps.

This explains why we see what we see, but (I think there was a thread about just that some weeks ago) it is bad design, it is unusual for Logos library filtering or other searches where matches of the full search term with partial strings are counted as hits. Since I personally don't trust the subject information anyway, it doesn't hurt me - but it hurts people who trust those. How on earth should a user know beforehand that a commentary is split in two volumes and exactly where it is split up?
Only these books?? Shouldn't they simply be where they should be? It's confusing. Maybe I'm simple-minded when it comes to all things Logos/FL, but for a commentary on Genesis or any other commentary TYPE of book one would expect it to be under "Type: Bible Commentary - Subject: Bible O.T., Genesis - x Find:
Also, if that's true with Currid then how many other Commentaries am I not seeing?
What about the commentaries that I don't know who the authors are? How do I find those?
To me, this is frustrating and needs to be tweaked/fixed/changed...
Instead of the Subject filtering facet, try using the "subject:" search field.
So, instead of searching for currid search for currid subject:Genesis (note the lack of space after "subject:"... that's important)
The "subject:" field searches for text anywhere in the subject, while the Subject facet is a structure filter (that works on a hierarchy) that requires an exact match.
Note that if you switch the library to Details view, you can add the Subject column to your display, which will allow you to see some of the details that are provided in the subject field for your books.
That does seem to be confusing. I would have expected Genesis to find the subsets.
Normally I would filter in the facets section of Library. Filtering for bible commentaries type then entering gen in the filter search box I see I can filter by Factbook\Bible\Genesis.
There are also Tags\Community tags\genesis

I see that the subject:Bible O.T. then search for filters with gen gives 16 different options under subject for me - none of which overlap.
It would seem more logical if subject worked so partial matches worked.
We need to vote for this but I do not know how to do it. I remember a few forumities do these boards to go vote on. Very great idea Alan.
