The new AI search works only in the same language as in application settings. I own resources both in German and in English. When the UI is set to German (my usual preference), and I enter a search term or question in German, everything works fine. I only get results from my German resources though.
When I enter a search term in English, all I get is garbage.
In order to get results from my English resources, I have to change the language settings first! It also means I can never have German and English search results in the same session. I'd have to change language settings back and forth.
Therefore, we need some sort of language selector in the AI search, or even better, like ChatGPT does, automatically answer in the same language that the question is asked.
(A further step toward perfecting the AI search would be receiving results from all resources irrespective the language, and the option to translate them or get a summary in the current display language from the search results overview.)
