Is there a way to isolate the Notes that don't have any tags in them?

Hi everyone,

When I started taking Notes, I didn't realize the importance of Tags, so I didn't attach Tags to my Notes. Even today, when I'm reading in the train on my iPhone, I find it cumbersome to add tags. I would like to go back to these Notes and then add Tags. Hence my question.

No. You would need to get a subset of notes and sort by Date Created. Presumably there is a cut-off for the time you started adding tags, so the earliest ones will not be tagged.

You can arrange a subset of notes through the Filter sidebar e.g. by Type, Book, Bible Book, Notebook, etc.

Sorting by date is a great idea to catch most of my untagged Notes. I say "most" because

(i) I don't tag when I'm reading on my iPhone, which I do everyday. I can catch them by making sure I tag these at the end of the day when I get back home by sorting on date.

(ii) I don't tag when I don't want to interrupt my reading to figure out the right tag to apply. I am not going to catch these.

Thank to your response, Dave, I was also forced to do a little bit of self reflection. I think, for every Note I take, I can help myself by giving tags of very broad topics that doesn't require any thinking. This will ensure I tag every note I make. I can then sort through these broad topic tags when I have time. And this is going to help me.
