Clause Search not behaving as expected

I wanted to find instances in the New Testament where it mentions "God's will" and constructed the following Clause Search:

subject:God object-lemma:θέλημα

with Source: The Greek New Testament: SBL Edition

Scope: All Passages

Only 2 items are returned from Acts 13:22 and Eph 1:9.

I was expecting more e.g. from Rom 12:2 and Col 1:9

Can anyone please shed light on where I am missing the point.

Thank you and best regards

I think I have found a solution to the problem above—wanting to find verses where "God's will" is mentioned.

the following (normal) Bible Search seems to have done the trick

    person:God AND lemma.g:θέλημα INTERSECTS will

I think I have found a solution to the problem above—wanting to find verses where "God's will" is mentioned.

If this was your object then a Bible Search is always the best solution.

The Clause Search was doomed if you assumed God was the subject. A Syntax Search with "will" as the Object shows that the Subject is "whoever", "anyone" that does God's will  i.e. Mt 12:50, 21:31;Mk 3:35;Jn7:17;Acts 13:22 and Col 1:9.

the following (normal) Bible Search seems to have done the trick person:God AND lemma.g:θέλημα INTERSECTS will

person:God AND lemma.g:θέλημα is essentially the same but highlights the two terms for clarity.

Thanks for the reply.  It helped me to see the errors in my initial understanding and assumptions.
