Copy to Word (and others) no longer works (fix?)
Running Windows 11 and Office 365. (that hasn't changed since this stopped working)
I'm not sure when this started happening, but I just noticed it today. I have some formatted "copy to"s set up in the "Copy Bible" tab, and a few of them are set up to Copy To Word.
These stopped "copying to"
I tried "Copy To" WordPad, and the "Copy and Paste" button is greyed out even when WordPad is open.
Also greyed out is "HTML Editor"
But I did get Word to work by resetting ".docx" to Word's exe. It didn't change, but it changed the behavior.
Not sure what's going on but it's odd.

Please explain and/or provide a screenshot.

Here is a screenshot when WordPad is open:
Note that I never use WordPad, I just thought it was interesting that it behaved like this.
And here is for Word, which now works, but before I reset the default app for .docx files, pressing the "Copy and Paste" button had no effect..."Copy" and then manually pasting worked though.

On a Mac there has to be permission given the first time you try this. If you don't give it permission or accidentally deny permission it fails from then on. I can't remember if there is a similar security feature in Windows. Might be something to look into.

I get the same behaviour for Wordpad and a few others.

That was what I needed to understand. The app is probably hard wired in Logos i.e. to the exe for MS Word.

That's what I would have thought too, but it worked the last time I tried it, and then it wasn't working anymore and I changed nothing about my Word installation or Logos installation. The default app for .docx files was always Word, and when I opened .docx files, Word opened as it should have.
The oddity was that I simply assigned the default app again in the Windows settings, which didn't point to a new app or anything, and then the Copy and Paste function in Logos worked again.
I've been around enough to believe that what I did "fixing" it was 100% coincidental, but it was odd.
And even odder, when I did that "reassign default app for .docx files" thing, "Copy and Paste" to PowerPoint started working again too.
Which makes my "100% coincidental" thought more like "200% coincidental".

When Copy Bible clearly states other apps that could be the default for docx, I think your experience is coincidental. It could be that the code was trying to use a docx file (?) in Word and got messed up with your re-assignment....

This behavior is back, and apparently intermittent.
I can "copy" from Logos and paste manually into Word 365, but the "Copy and Paste" does nothing.

I have Windows 11 and Office 365, too. I can "copy" a Bible verse into Word 365, but it will no longer "Copy and Paste" into Word 365. Once in a great while, the "Copy and Paste" function works. I don't know how to fix it, and I've received no response that there is a fix coming.

I have never had this problem in Win 10/11. You should report it to Customer Support as they can diagnose on your computer
