Logos Bible Study 31.3

31.3.32, Logos 10 for Mac.

For a couple of weeks, notes has been lagging when I type. It seems to be getting worse. I punch in a word, and it only comes up a few split seconds after I type. An error shows up and I hit backspace, and not only the letter but the entire word is deleted. This is very frustrating! I have started writing up my notes in another app, and then copying and pasting them into notes. Please help!

I also have similar problems for first hour or two after starting Logos. Appears Logos goes on a CPU rampage for that time with very high CPU usage and it doesn’t like swapping focus between notes and resources. Anything you do is met with spinning balls - sometimes it is unusable, leaving it running for an hour doesn’t help as whatever causes high CPU is triggered by use. Quittingd a starting again sometimes gives 15-20 minutes relief, of persevering for about 2 hours. I have been on a campaign to avoid other programs running as same time (fontd and Timemachine were giving problems). I have excluded Logos library from timemachine, virus scans, etc to try and avoid conflicts but haven’t found root cause.

I think the disappearing words ion notes may be caused by delays in synching so notes gets confused and synchs the version of note just before you typed the sentence i.e. you type a sentence, Logos sees sentence wasn’t in the cloud version of note, deletes it then synchs the note with cloud. I’ve seen a paragraph disappear!

In the past I found the only time it doesn’t go wrong is when I have the Logos logging running so I’ve never got a useful log to send to Logos. I’ll have another go at doing this. (I’ve had these problems come up periodically in the past 4 years)

I’m using a MBP 16” with Intel processor
