Jews in the Village in John's Gospel
I am looking to determine how long the Jews in this village in John's Gospel stayed in their synagogue without raising a huge disturbance. Bethany is in Judea, close to Jerusalem. I believe John's goal in noting that the people are ''Jews'' is to identify them as Judeans. I did some searching both in beta and regular search. I could not find anything. Can Logos help me determine this time?

I would begin with a simpler question "Given the paucity of historical data available for this time period, what are the chances this information has been recorded and preserved?"
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I read somewhere in Logos that after the exile to Babylon the Judeans had qualified to be called Jews.
"Paul uniformly uses “the Judean” (ὁ Ἰουδαῖος) to mean “Jew.” Yet a more fitting translation in this special case is “the Judeans” (τῶν Ἰουδαίων). Paul is not concerned primarily with their religion but with their region:"
Gary Steven Shogren, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2012), 111."Paul reminded them that they received his message as the authoritative word of God and that they were persecuted by their countrymen just as the Judean Christians were persecuted by their fellow Jews."
Robert G. Gromacki, New Testament Survey (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Academic, 1974), 281.I am looking to determine how long the Jews in this village in John's Gospel stayed in their synagogue without raising a huge disturbance. Bethany is in Judea, close to Jerusalem.

In John 11, it appears that "Jews" is to identify the religious ministers.
