Search Help
I'm trying to compile a quick and dirty list of topics Jesus addresses in his teaching ministry as recorded in the Gospels. Obviously, speaker:Jesus is part of the search, but I can't find a way to get a listing of either topics or preaching themes, I know Logos has tagging on both. I assumed that Topics and/or Preaching Themes would be something I could access in the Analysis view of my search, but neither is present as far as I can see. It seems to be "back in the day" we had more options in the Analysis table, but that might be my bad memory.
Any suggestions on how I could compile such a list?
Thanks.

Factbook is your start point:
- Enter what you think is a topic or preaching theme.
- if the entry appears as a Concept it is a Topic -
- the search starts with topic: e.g. topic:Crucify
- if the entry appears as a Preaching Theme -
- the search starts with preachingTheme: e.g.preachingTheme:"Jesus' Death"
- Under More at the bottom of the article, hover over "Search for..." to see the format for that topic or theme
- don't click as you will get more than you asked for!
Factbook will lead you to other datatypes like Cultural Ontology.
Once you have the format, you can type into a Search box e.g. topic: and it will provide a list of topics. Keep typing to narrow your topic.
To see if Jesus addresses any of these, use for example speaker:Jesus INTERSECTS preachingTheme:"Jesus' Death"

Another option would be to use the Bible Browser tool. Use the sidebar to filter to "Common Divisions: Gospels" and "Speakers: Jesus". Then you can expand the Preaching Themes or Topics sections in the sidebar to see a list of those items that show up in the same verses where Jesus is speaking.
