Suggested for your library: More excellent commentaries

I receive a lot of email suggestions from Logos (4-8 per day) and one of this Sunday's (in Oz) had the above Subject together with the message

Based on your previous purchases and expressed interests, we think these titles would be a wonderful fit for your library.

6 of them might be a wonderful fit, but I already owned/pre-ordered the other 4; one very recently and one in years long past!

I don't have a problem if they send an email with multiple resources and I already own some of them; I just figure it's one generic email promo and maybe they can't (or won't be bothered to) separate the resources out by customer. My real peeve, however, is when they send an email with a single recommendation and I already own it from a long time ago - I can't come up with a reason for this 🤷🏽‍♀️

I was thinking just yesterday, Amazon has my number ... everytime I find a book I like, it just finds even more. And apparently in real-time, so I'd assume the volumes are pre-connected (purchase patterns, subject, author).

I've had Logos emails off for years; tired of mindless. Recently I turned Accordance off too ... throwing the kitchen sink at my email account. Desperation marketing ... cheap email cost enough for limited response. And lost opportunities.

As mentioned yesterday, the Logos.com site is just too time consuming. Even the March deals were exhausting.

I wonder what the payback would be for their marketing to do serious analytics (Amazon-style, not Google-A).  Maybe the customer purchasing isn't that significant.

Oh well, lovin' my Kindle Scribe and how hebrew ruah maps out to self (external/internal). Newsom.

I scan the email if it’s not for me whether I have it or not, I just delete it!
