I have consistently upgraded my Logos software since about 1991 or 1992. (As I have often noted, I bought the old CDWord Bible Software from Dallas Theological Seminary, and I was offered an upgrade to the new Logos program when DTS discontinued their program. It was a great offer, and I am very thankful to Logos Bible Software for all these years. It has been, and continues to be, a wonderful tool for my ministry.)
But the only features I have ever cared about are the books and the language tools. Actually, in recent upgrades the new features are more of a nuisance to me than a help, (especially that Factbook feature.)
I now have over 9,600 Logos resources. All I want from Logos is for my books, Bibles, lexicons, commentaries, and other resources to work together.
I do not want to rent anything. Rather than new features, I just wish Logos would concentrate on adding the resources that I need. These would include the scholarly "Bicentennial Edition of John Wesley's Works", the New Cambridge Bible Commentaries, and other scholarly works as they become available.
The only new features that would please me would be (1) the ability to easily turn off features that annoy me and (2) make the software work faster and (3) simplify the program.
For an old Curmudgeon like me, Logos is almost completely about the books. That is all...for now.
