Do modal verbs influence the semantic roles of the verbs they control in any way? I am looking for discussion in biblical Greek only. I read this book Modality, Subjectivity, and Semantic Change: A Cross-Linguistic Perspective by Heiko Narrog, Oxford University Press, Oxford, 2012. I thought after reading this book it could be possible to frame this from a biblical Greek perspective.
