So, are you thinking Levinsohn or Porter? Those are the two I have some casual familiarity with. You can't apply a technique correctly if you don't understand the "what" of what you are applying.

So, you should know more about pragmatics than I as my training precedes pragmatics as a major topic in linguistics. You'll need to follow the examples until you can analyze the sample texts yourself - and ask yourself on each and every tagging "what does this add to my understanding of the text?"

You've read 5 books on the topic and they've given no examples? Use Google to search "pragmatic markers" Greek . Or since pragmatic markers are a subset of discourse markers - just used for a different focus of study - try scholar.google.com with the search argument "pragmatic markers" in koine greek. That brought up several interesting PDF's
