On May 21, 2024, we’ll be updating the minimum supported macOS for the Logos
desktop app from macOS 11 (Big Sur) to macOS 12 (Monterey). That means we will be dropping support for MacOS Big Sur (macOS 11) and only supporting macOS 12, 13, and 14. Likewise, when macOS 15 comes out in October, we will drop support for macOS 12, and support macOS 13, 14, and 15, and so on. This change aligns with our existing practice and Apple’s support of the current macOS and two previous versions.
We encourage you to take immediate action to update your macOS. To make the update, you can:
Go to your System Preferences to see which version of macOS you’re running and update to the latest version available for your computer. You can find instructions here if needed.
If you choose not to update, your current desktop app version will still be usable in addition to the always-up-to-date Logos web app. Don’t worry, your books and features are still yours. But you’ll no longer receive updates or support for your version of the Logos desktop app.If you have any questions, you can always check our Help Center for more information on minimum system requirements.
We have given our Big Sur users several months’ notice and have contacted them via email individually.
There will not be any updates to our Windows system requirements for now.
