Can notes be sorted by reference in iOS?

I don't believe so - I think they just appear sorted by date order

It's a good thought though. I would love for Notes to be able to be sorted by "Reference" and maybe even "tags". [8-|]

Barney Fife is my hero! He only uses an abacus with 14 rows!
You first need to select "Reference=Bible", then you are able to sort by Bible reference. Not otherwise.
I believe in a Win-Win-Win God.
This is available on desktop but unfortunately not on mobile so wouldn't work for Ed
But it might address (part of) what xnman was looking for.
