FL Connect and monthly freebies: The clock is running

With the new subscription offering coming our way, and FL Connect going away, I've been forced to re-evaluate my monthly freebie selections until my Connect subscription runs out. Up to this point, I've had an elaborate "Wish List" system by which I would order the next PD books I would snatch each month. I had targeted about the next two years which, of course, is no longer in play. Now, I'll prioritize for the few months remaining and see if I can meet my most important goals in that regard.

I know I obsessed a bit about it, but it was truly a nice treat each month. And maybe nobody else really cared that much about it. But I am curious if anyone else had to pivot their strategy for this sunsetting perk.

I have the same subscription and have gone through similar decision-making processes. My reading of the current changes a foot is that they will be sunsetting the connect subscriptions (I've been on the old Logos Now subscription for many years) but doesn't mean that this perk and others may not appear in the new offerings. So don't delete your lists yet I'm assuming that giving away public domain resources has a minimal ongoing cost to Logos so I suspect they will probably continue the practice in order the improve the value proposition for the subscriptions. The survey link that Mark provided in his follow up post seems to indicate that are at least evaluating what to keep. Like the 2% annual coupon, etc.

I'm in wait and see mode regarding the new subscriptions. The way I understand the Logos Pro subscription is you are paying for 3 main things:

- immediate access to new features

- usage credits for AI features

- temporary licenses for a list of resources

I'm currently in a 30 day trial of Logos Pro so i can play with the AI features but I've already cancelled so I can wait and see what happens in regard to the treatment of existing subscriptions.

I already have permanent licenses for almost everything (certainly anything I would consider useful for me) on the current list so the resource piece as it currently stands is of not import to me. I'm hoping that there will be comparable subscription to what I have now, that doesn't include books but gives access to the new features. If it is the same price as what I currently pay then it's a no brainer.

I admire your strategy! I got the PD books I noticed I wanted and now I just prioritize the most expensive ones in English, playing the dynamic pricing lottery.

Based on the survey we might still get a subscription with perks, so not all hope is lost.

There were a number of trial subscriptions available in the store for a short period of time, probably mistakenly open to the public, since I was removed from those trials after I had registered.

Some of those new subscription products did include free books though. Overall, the perks seemed to be identical to the previous perks. However, it might not mean much beyond a sign of hope, since we don't even know at which stage of development those products are.

I noticed that this month some new books were added to the list of 3 free books per month for Logos Connect subscribers. I was very happy to see this.
