Combine Multiple Presentations

I'm very new to Proclaim and trying to envision possible scenarios and how to deal with them.  Here is one scenario I have not been able to find a solution for and hoping someone can help.

Pastor Joe creates a new presentation for next Sunday names MMDDYYYY and creates his sermon part of the presentation.

MusicDirector Janet doesn't realize Joe has already created a presentation for next Sunday and creates a new one named YYYYMMDD and adds her songs to which she does a lot of editing and custom arrangements.

Secretary Mary is ready to add the various other pieces, announcements, welcome slides, etc. and realizes there are 2 different presentations.

Is there a way to merge/combine these 2 presentations into 1?

Yes. I am not at my computer to verify the exact language, but I think the easiest way to do it is to create a slide group for one of them and insert it with "Reuse Elements." We have a slide group for pre-service announcements that we just add and modify every week,

In my church, I have my own presentation where my sermon slides are prepared every week. Our AV guy simply copy and pastes them into the master presentation every week.

Thanks for the reply.  I will research creating a slide group and the Reuse Elements.  I had seen the "reuse", but not the creating slide groups.

In the old days they would take a scourge to this undisciplined lot until they accepted that there has to be an agreed naming convention for each service.

The most sensible way is to use YYMMDD(leader)(background slide set) so that the names will sort into date order easily, the leader is obvious and you can find the slide set should you wish to use it again.

You should adopt the above convention or I'll come round and sort you out.  ;-)

Just hold down ctrl and click multiple slides, then right-click and select group. It will then let you name it and move it easily.

sensible, but not MOST sensible [:D] Having "survived" Y2K, (and maintaining a membership database of people born in last and current centuries) - 4-digit YYYY is MOST sensible.

Better (Best?) Practice - grouping slides for a particular service element e.g. gathering music, Call to Action (welcome & announcements), Worship Music, Sermon, etc. Expanding/Collapsing the group allows copy/paste of individual or service element slides.
