Problem in removing sections from the Cited By Tool

This is with Logos 33.0 (build 33.0.359) on Windows 11

My Cited By Tool currently looks like this:

If I try and remove the Biblical Theology section (clicking the X at the top right of the section) I get another Biblical Theology section with one entry created:

If I try and remove it (the original section) again, then the new one is deleted but the original one remains:

Does anyone else see anything similar?

EDIT: I've just checked in 32.1 and the problem is there as well so it isn't something introduced in the beta. And I see the same issue on my MacBook so it's not a Windows-specific issue.

I had previously added it using the Add dropdown and selecting a collection of that name

I'm unable to reproduce on Mac and Windows. Does it happen with more than just your Biblical Theology section?

No, it doesn't happen with other collection / series!

Should I try deleting the Collection in the Collection Tool and see if that fixes it, or is that likely to make things worse?!

I just tested this out and it looks like there may be some unexpected behavior with undeleting going on right now. So, before you try to delete the collection, be sure to duplicate it. You can try resolving this issue by doing the following:

Duplicate the Biblical Theology collection.
Rename the duplicate.
Delete the original Biblical Theology collection.
Test the Cited By issue to see if it still exists with the duplicated collection.

Let me know the results.

I just tested this out and it looks like there may be some unexpected behavior with undeleting going on right now. So, before you try to delete the collection, be sure to duplicate it. You can try resolving this issue by doing the following:

Duplicate the Biblical Theology collection.

Rename the duplicate.

Delete the original Biblical Theology collection.

Test the Cited By issue to see if it still exists with the duplicated collection.

I tried those steps but the problem persists - in that when I add the Biblical Theology collection back into the tool, I can't delete it.

But if I rename it to something else - such as Test Theology - I can delete it (and maybe that is what you meant above).

Your section is unique as it has sub-sections, and I cannot reproduce that. But I can reproduce the issue of not being able to delete it unless I first delete the actual collection.

As the content does not affect it, there has to be an issue with the name.

What do you mean by sub-sections Dave? All I can see is the different books with their associated "cites". What am I missing?

As the content does not affect it, there has to be an issue with the name.

OK! I saw there is an option to "Sort results by book" where I had been seeing them by rank!

You can delete the duplicate in Cited By, correct? Step #3 was meant to be done in the Collections tool - i.e. deleting the original collection entirely, but keeping the duplicate because it will preserve your data for that collection. (There is currently a separate bug in the app where undeleted collections are showing up empty and we're working on a fix for that asap.)

Given that it is only happening with this one collection and you're able to use the workaround of duplicating and renaming, I think we'll need to leave this out of a case for now. If the issue gets worse (i.e. affecting more collections), please let us know on this thread. Thanks, Graham!
