Can't find key words in KJV

I tried to search the phase "sup with him" in the KJV and got NO references. I finally had to search the web for it and found it as Rev 3:20. The phrase is righ there. I even searched for the word "sup" and got no refereces. I made sure I was searching "all Bible texts", "Entire Bible" and "KJV" but can't get any hits. When I search "All Bibles" it shows up in Darby, ASV, AV, and a few others, but not my copy of the KJV. (I have two resouces of the KJV - one named AV and the other just listed as KJV. The AV shows up, but not the KJV.) Maybe I'm doing somethign silly, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

I tried to duplicate you problem but it worked just fine for me; it shows up in both the AV and the KJV. I'm puzzled. I suppose it could be a problem with your Bible index. try searching for other words in your KJV. If you have problems with other search terms then issue the command "Rebuild Bible index"

Interesting. I can't search any word in the New Testament of the KJV. All references are from the OT. I double checked that I was searching "Entire Bible" but no luck. Reindexing now. I'll report on what happens next.

reindexed bibles but no change. Searches for words in KJV only reveal OT references. AV works great. I rarely use KJV, but when I do, I really need it to work. Any ideas?

Open your KJV window and click the resource info button (the "i" in a circle) and scroll to the bottom. Copy and paste the support info into the forum here.

It should look something like this:

That's the reason for the search results.

Close L4 and delete all 3 files from your \Resources folder which is in the \Logos4\ folder at:-

XP -> C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local
Settings\Application Data\Logos4
Vista/Win7 -> C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Logos4

Restart L4 and these files should be downloaded and indexed.

I deleted the three files from the logos4 resources folder, but they did not automatically download. Now my library doesn't show the KJV at all. I stll have the AV and others like the KJV study bible, but no KJV.

Try typing "Update Resources" into the command bar.

I don't think deleting the files causes Logos to automatically download them again. (tried in the past, I think). I think he should have tried running "update resources" first.

I think the best way to fix corrupt resource files is to put them in the Hidden Resources list, restart Logos, wait for indexing to finish, then delete them from the Hidden Resources list, and restart again. And even that won't automatically get them sometimes...I usually have to run "update resources" afterwards to get them to appear.

All that to say:

Scott, try entering "update resources" (without quotes) into the command bar, and wait. That causes it to recheck all resources. Hopefully it should discover that the KJV files are missing and you should get a message that new files will be downloaded.
