Questions about The New Testament for Everyone

I have ordered The New Testament for Everyone, Third Edition which is on pre-pub.

I looked but could not find a first or second edition, so I am guessing it does not exist in Logos?

I believe the commentary The New Testament for Everyone (20 vols.) contains the entire text of the translation, but I am wondering which revision of the translation is embedded in the commentary?

1) Will the translation within the commentary ever get updated?

2) If so, would it replace the old one, or be considered a new resource?

3) Is there any way to find a comparison or list of changes in the third revision?

4) Any guesses as to when it will ship?

Whatever translation Wright used when he wrote the commentaries is what you get in them, not the Third revision/edition. There shouldn’t be much of a difference. Nobody can guess when the Translation 3rd edition is coming out. The rest is just a guessing game also. Why would it make any difference anyway?

Wright made his own translation for use in the commentary. There was enough demand for it that the translation was published by itself.

It doesn’t matter really. When you think about it most revisions or additions only have minor corrections to/in the text. If you have the commentaries you don’t really need the translation on its own unless it is for ease of access. Other than that it doesn’t really matter.

It matters to me because I am also going to be using the kindle version and a printed copy, and I like to know when changes are made.

Google or visit their website and see if they have something. Logos usually doesn’t provide that kind of information. You might want to consider emailing the publisher or Wright himself.
