Table of contents scaling
Hello,
I am new to the logos app and still learning a lot of new things, so please bear with me.
I have experimented with the layouts and saving layouts that I like, but one thing that never seems to be consistent is the size of the "Table of contents". I think it depends on the bible you use (I'm using the ISV as my preferred bible). I'd start up logos and the last layout that I saved would be visible, but for some reason, the "Table of contents" window always resizes itself to a third of my screen... it is quite frustrating to resize this every time and seems to defeat the purpose in spending time to make a custom layout. I might be doing something wrong, so can someone maybe shed some light for a newbie like me?
Thank you for your time and patience

Hi Meizner - and welcome to Logos and these forums.
I have experimented with the layouts and saving layouts that I like, but one thing that never seems to be consistent is the size of the "Table of contents". I think it depends on the bible you use (I'm using the ISV as my preferred bible). I'd start up logos and the last layout that I saved would be visible, but for some reason, the "Table of contents" window always resizes itself to a third of my screen..
This sounded strange so to try and reproduce it I've created a simple layout as shown below:
When I close and reopen the layout, the ToC opens to the same size - so the layout looks identical.
Am I missing something in what you are doing, what does your layout look like before closing and after reopening?
It would be really helpful to post screenshots of your layouts - please use the paperclip icon in the forum editor to do this

I'm posting two screen shots
Thanks - that was really helpful.
The issue (and I can now reproduce this) seems to be related to having the Bible panel set to the full width of the monitor. It is as though the ToC size is set in proportion to the width of the panel as opposed to how it is set up and saved in the layout.
Having checked it looks like this issue has been around for a long time - see https://community.logos.com/forums/t/47350.aspx and https://community.logos.com/forums/p/174379/1007688.aspx#1007688 for example.
Hopefully someone from Logos will see this thread and comment further.

Thank you for the links. I tried to find post similar to the issue I was having and couldn't find issues that replicated my issue. However it seems like the users in these posts are having the exact same issue. Seeing how some of the are older than 10 years old does not seem to comforting though.
Thank you Graham, you were most insightful.
